EFF WC on Patricia De Lille’s resignation
The decision of Patricia De Lille, Mayor of the City Cape Town to resign as leader of the Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape comes at no surprise to the EFF.
Bernard Joseph, EFF Provincial Chairperson is under no illusions that Patricia De Lille is coming to her senses at last.
The majority support for the white controlled DA comes from the predominantly”Colored” people in the Western Cape.
Service delivery within the Western Cape is concentrated on the more affluent areas in Cape Town and the Western Cape in general.
The EFF is of the opinion that the expropriation of government owned land will go a long way in eradicating the housing backlog in the Province, but this land is being rented to white farmers and white businesspeople, the funders of the Democratic Alliance.
There is no housing backlog which include white people, only the previously disadvantaged.
This kind of actions from the white capitalists and neo-liberals is eminent within the bigger economic sphere too.
It is obvious that economic opportunities is ring fenced around the whites.
Patricia De Lille has massive support under the “coloured” communities, a fact which catapulted her into Parliament as a legislator under the banner of the Independent Democrats.
The support for the white DA escalated after Patricia De Lille merged the ID with the DA.
To safeguard her legacy and the fact that the white political and economic agenda is to enhance white prosperity left her with no other option but to turn her back on white monopoly capital.
