The Economic Freedom Fighters in the Western Cape wishes all of our Muslim fighters, friends and family Eid Mubarak. May this day of celebration be filled with love and happiness. May your charity and kindness be returned many times over in blessings to your family and loved ones.
On this Eid al-Fitr it is inevitable that conversations will turn to the upcoming Local Government Elections. EFF calls for all Muslims in the Western Cape and South Africa to seriously reflect on whether your choice of political party is compatible with both your religious and political values. Muslims in South Africa and around the world are sadly all too often victimised, used and treated as second class citizens. Too often history and contemporary politics has airbrushed, revised or disregarded the role of great Muslim leaders and communities. It is time for turn the tide against creeping Islamophobia both at home and abroad.
EFF has demonstrated from day one that it stands with all Muslims and has the best interests of the Muslim community at heart. More and more Muslims around the Western Cape are joining the EFF. We encourage you to scrutinise everything that we have said and done over the period of time that we have been in operation. You will find that the EFF is serious about our commitment to the best interests of the Muslim community.
