EFF WESTERN CAPE ON THE ELECTRICAL CABLE THEFT ISSUE IN RYLANDS

After the disastrous Eskom load-shedding period in which they blamed everyone except themselves, another challenge is facing them. The only difference is this time they have in fact someone else to blame.

Rylands Estate, a middle-class area in Athlone, Cape Town was left in darkness when electricity cable-thieves stole the cables during the night/early hours of this morning.

Engineers will be send out by the City of Cape Town to attend to the problem. The EFF PR Councilor, Faranaaz Gafoor-Simons, has personally lodged a service request about the issue.

Darkness attracts crime and such evils cannot be accepted within our communities. The EFF is aware that social challenges and greed lead to economic crimes and deplore such behavior in the strongest terms.

The EFF will start a campaign established, implemented and driven by local communities to safeguard their persons and hard earned possessions.

The EFF will show the DA and National Government in the Western Cape that they have no clue of what they are doing, especially regarding their Constitutional obligation to ensure a safe environment for all citizens.
