Press statement: Statement on the arrest of the 2 suspects in the Sinoxolo murder
The Economic Freedom Fighters in the Western Cape welcomes the arrest of two suspects in the murder of Sinoxolo Mafevuka.
While the progress made in this investigation is encouraging, we call on Patricia de Lille’s City of Cape Town and Helen Zille’ s provincial administration of the Western Cape to do what they can to ensure that this doesn’t happen again. It is the poorest of the poor who are the most vulnerable and provision of safe services must be a priority.
We further call on the police to proceed with diligence and care in further investigation. The loved ones of Sinoxolo Mafevuka deserve closure, and the community of Khayelitsha deserves better service delivery than what they’re getting at this point in DA controlled Cape Town.
